Research Summary

I utilize precision pharmacology techniques to investigate aberrant anchored signaling in breast cancer.

Research Statement

I am interested in expanding the cutting-edge precision pharmacology technique LoKI (Local Kinase Inhibition) developed in the Scott Lab to probe the mitogenic signaling of breast cancer. Using this technique, I am investigating what happens when mis-regulation of AKAP2 induces aberrant mitogenic signals that emanate from this anchoring protein. Defining these pathological signaling mechanisms are important first steps toward new pharmacological strategies for the treatment of breast cancer.
